Booklist

I updated my booklist for [info]50bookchallenge. I feel vaguely guilty that I don’t read as much as I used to, I know that part of it’s time related, if I’m here reading online, then I’m not reading an actual book. But it’s also I think because I like the immediacy of fanfic, the interactions you can have with a writer. Also I don’t have the patience to wade through mediocre novels anymore, I guess my tastes have become a little more discriminating. Anyway it’s been a busy week with work, so I’m off to catch up on the fic I’ve missed.

New additions to my list

9) The truth about food by Jill Fullerton-Smith

10) A Concise Chinese-English Dictionary For Lovers by Xiaolu Guo

11) The Solaris Book Of New Science Fiction ~ Multiple Authors

12) Promise Me by Harlan Coben

13) What’s Left? By Nick Cohen

There was a time when by this point in the year I’d already have gone through more than 50 books. But then RL and work interfered, add in the fact that I spend a lot of my free time online and I found I hardly ever picked up an actual book. Hopefully this comm will help me get back into the habit. So far this year I’ve managed to finish 8 books.
